Fabrication Ecoflamme Inc will harvest and increase the value of the forest's biomass remaining in abundance on the cutting grounds in the aim of providing innovative wood pellets and possibly other energy products issued from the forest's biomass.

Products Issued from the Forest's Biomass

We have divided the biomass primarily into 4 categories, which for use we will call:

1. White matter: This can be used by paper as well as panelling mills…

2. Mixed matter: A combination of low level of bark and rotten matter destined to the production of pellets or bio-oils…

3. Grinded matter: Not very contaminated, composed of bark and twigs.  This matter is perfect for the production of energy for industrial uses such as co-generation…

4. Contaminated grinded matter: Made up of twigs, leaves and stumps…This matter can become an excellent absorbent for industrial muds, liquid manure, and could also serve as compost.

Wood Pellets

Wood pellets, or pellets, present themselves in a cylinder shape of 6 to 9 mm in diameter and 5 to 30 mm in length.  This combustible is very dense and has a minimum calorific power of 4 600 kWh per ton with a humidity on brut weight of 8%.

Its volume mass is 0,7 ton per cubic meter which facilitates its transportation and stocking. But the best characteristic of this combustible is its fine grain which allows to simplify the delivery system, the stocking, as well as the heating system, and thus their cost.

The pellet is stable in production in both screen analysis and humidity.  This guarantees a regular combustion of high quality, and avoids the perpetual (manual or automatic) feeding of the heating system.
